"Brilliant Stars" International College.
Founded in 1997, Brilliant Stars International College is an English medium educational day school with separate, infant, pre-school and primary sections. The school is located in the heart of Matara Town and caters to a large number of students with plans to expand to the secondary sections.
"Brilliant Stars" International College has established an extremely good academic record with a local curriculum plan based syllabus set by the Ministry of Education in the English medium. We can be proud of our extra - curricular activities which include sport, swimming, drama, music, games, and information technology. We are very happy to say that we offer our students the very best with a dedicated and conscientious staff who are qualified and experienced to handle children of all ages.
School History
We are the pioneers in the English medium education catering to a multi ethnic and multi cultural clientele in Matara. We were founded in 1997 starting with the Pre-school section. In 2002 we opened our Primary section and today we have over 900 students attending "Brilliant Stars" in the morning and evening sessions.
Mrs. Hunniya Wazeer (Directress cum Principal)
She is the sole founder of " Brilliant Stars ". She is a vivacious and energetic person, maintains high discipline and standards in the college. With her very high qualifications in English, Speech and Drama [UK] she runs an English Academy in the afternoons on the school premises.

Mr. M. S. M. Wazeer (Director)
One who has much experience in maintaining quality standards in the field of management. He is very particular about high discipline and promotes English Speech among staff and students.

Mrs. P.Weerathunga(The Deputy Principal)
Mrs. Weerathunga is a highly experienced Grade 1 principal of SLPS. She has worked as the principal in government schools and in International Schools as well. She has taken her M.Ed. from University of Colombo. Mrs. Weerathunga is a Diploma holder in School Management from NIE-Maharagama.
She guides the staff and motivates the children of BSIC to become successful citizens to the nation.
